TK 332 initiative groups are preparing three updated DSTU projects at once
24.09.2026
Another meeting of the Technical Committee for Standardization 322 «Standardization of processes in the field of mine action» was held at the Humanitarian Demining Center. During the meeting, representatives of initiative working groups working within the framework of the TC presented the development of three DSTU projects at once.
The first – proposals for the new edition of DSTU 8820 “New model of management of mine action processes”.
This is a revised standard that allows changing the logic of management in mine action. This revision involves a management model with an evidence-risk-oriented approach, where the decision is made on the basis of evidence, taking into account all risks. The authors of the revised edition are convinced that the scope, depth and intensity of measures should be proportional to the risk, and not determined only by the formal sequence of processes.
The members of the Technical Committee decided to submit comments on the presented project within 15 working days.
The second – project of DSTU related to environmental safety.
This project will be considered by the Technical Committee by the end of October.
The last presented project of DSTU 8820-7 regarding underwater demining. The work of the initiative working group for this project will be presented to TC members at the end of November.
Five new authorized representatives were also introduced during the Technical Committee meeting.
