Clearing Ukraine: Fundraising for humanitarian demining begins with UNITED24!
04.04.2025
UNITED24 platform, in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy and the Humanitarian Demining Center, announced the launch of a large-scale fundraising campaign of $1.5 million for demining facilities in three regions of Ukraine. This fundraiser is aimed at clearing the following facilities:
Vysokopil Hospital in Kherson region;
Fenevytske and Makarivske forestry in Kyiv region;
school, kindergarten, recreation park, playgrounds in the village of Hrakovo in the Chuguyiv district of the Kharkiv region.
Why is this important?
During the full-scale invasion, these territories were contaminated with explosive remnants of war, posing serious threats to the lives and health of local residents, especially children. At the same time, the contaminated lands limit economic and social activity, resulting in significant financial losses for the country.
What does this collection provide?
💡 Funding will help ensure the safe clearance of territories from mines and other explosive objects.
💡 Fundraising support will help return facilities to normal operation, which is critical for local infrastructure and public safety.
"Humanitarian demining is an investment in the future of Ukraine. Through innovation, transparency, and partnership, we are creating a safe environment for Ukrainians to live in, which contributes to economic recovery and stability," said Volodymyr Bayda, Director of the Humanitarian Demining Center.
