How to use the state compensation program for demining agricultural lands
23.04.2025
We inform
An information campaign has officially been launched so that as many farmers as possible can take advantage of the state program to compensate for the cost of demining agricultural land.
The first stage was the presentation of the site , on which the farmer can:
- Check if it meets the program conditions.
- Learn how to obtain confirmation of suspected contamination/pollution (conducting a non-technical survey).
- Step-by-step application through the State Agrarian Register.
Why is this important?
Since the beginning of the year, the Center has received 228 applications, of which 196 were rejected as not meeting the requirements.
The main reasons for failures:
- lack of non-technical survey (NTO) of the submitted lands;
- incorrect choice of program – erroneous submission of funds for compensation for demining agricultural land instead of a subsidy per unit of cultivated agricultural land;
- escrow accounts have not been opened in authorized banks;
- tax debt, the exception is only arrears in payment of land tax or single tax of group IV, if the farmer has the appropriate status.
"Today's launch of the information campaign is our next step to make the compensation program work even more effectively. Our goal is simple and very specific: to ensure that the 3 billion hryvnias allocated in the state budget are used as productively as possible, and that as many Ukrainian farmers as possible can safely cultivate their fields," said Volodymyr Bayda, Director of the Center.
Next steps of the campaign:
▪️distribution of information booklets in communities of frontline regions;
▪️field meetings with farmers, where specialists from the Center and the Ministry of Economy answer farmers' questions.
